Home Groups - "A Place to Connect"
Q. Why Home Groups?
A. The Bible sets the example.
Acts 2:42-47 They devoted
themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of
bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled
with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had
everything in common. Selling their
possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in
the temple courts. They broke bread in
their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and
enjoying the favor of all the people.
And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
The early church met in the temple and in homes. They shared food, prayed together, studied God's word and served the needy. Amazing things happened as a result.
Q. What can I expect in a Home Group?
- A casual, friendly atmosphere
- A place to meet new people and make some new friends
- A safe environment to ask questions and share thoughts or just listen. That's okay too!
- A time to study God's Word and pray.
- An opportunity to serve in our community.
Q. When do Home Groups meet?
A. Groups met twice a month. The day and time are decided by each group.
Q. How do I get connected to a group?
A. Home groups operate on a semester basis. We hold sign ups at the church in the months of September and January. (Some groups continue through summer.)
