What can I expect?
You can expect to be warmly greeted by people who genuinely love God. The atmosphere will be casual, friendly and relational. Each group is unique but the basic elements will include food, fellowship, prayer, possibly worship, and a time for Bible Study and discussion.
Why do we have home groups?
Our vision at Calvary Temple is to connect people to God, to each other, and to our world through service. Home groups
are a prime setting for this to take place.
What are the variables?
The meeting day, time and frequency varies with each home group, just as each group's study topic varies. Some groups meet every week, others meet twice a month, and some always include a meal, while others only have snacks. Click here for home group details.
How do I get involved in a home group?
First, you will need to look through the list of groups in this
brochure to see which one most appeals to your situation. Then you will
need to call or e-mail the group leader to find out the time they are
meeting. Note: Some groups may fill up to their capacity. If this
happens, please do not give up. Try contacting another group leader.
What should I do about my children?
Some groups will indicate that children are welcome to attend. You will
need to contact the leader and ask about the arrangements. Other groups
will indicate that no arrangements for children are provided.
What about my teenagers?
There are a few groups that are offered specifically for junior high
and high school students. These groups will begin at 5:45 p.m. and will
finish at 8:30 p.m. This is done to give parents ample time to
transport their teen and still be a part of a group themselves. Please
be prompt in picking up your teen by 8:30 p.m.
